Fashion File - Chic Street
This month, we’re all about pink, so we just had to take a trip to the FIDM Orange County campus. If you haven’t been there, it’s a sight to behold. Designed by world-renowned architect Clive Wilkinson, FIDM Orange County is quite the visual experience. Let us take you inside and show you our favorite spots.
Making an Entrance
Talk about a first impression. From the moment you step into the front lobby, you know you’re in “creativity central.” Walk across the pink floor to the pink reception desk, and you can’t help but smile.
TV Friendly
Stop off in the waiting lounge, and you’ll be greeted with a fun surprise—flat screen television monitors housed in the furniture. We love that they play scenes from past DEBUT Runway Shows, too. So take a seat, and drink in the pink.
Think Tank
No, this is not your grandmother’s library. The Orange County campus’ Resource and Research Center is bursting with color and inspiration. There’s just something about sitting in pink chairs in a pink-carpeted room that gets those creative juices flowing. Who knows what ideas you might come up with in here.
Nourishing the Soul
The color pink is known for its calming effects, so the cheery cafeteria is the perfect place to take a break and catch up with friends. With cool places like this on campus, no wonder the L.A. Times named FIDM Orange County one of the Top 10 Places to Nourish the Soul.
Inside Out
This is Orange County, home to some of the most famous beaches in the world. It’s only natural, then, that the cafeteria and lounge extend outdoors, so students can soak up a few rays between classes. And one color that always looks good with pink…is tan.
