FC members were challenged to create wedding dresses out of paper!
Cape Coral High School FIDM Fashion Club President Sedona Scott gives us all the details!
“Our sponsor, Mrs. Shaw, came up with the idea of the paper wedding dress challenge, then I decided to turn it into a mini runway show.
We held the runway show during our club meeting in a classroom. There are 42 members in our club who participated, and a couple of teachers attended the show as well.
Each group designated one designer as a model to walk the runway. The models were Felipe, Celine, Adamaris, Dreia, Ethan, Madelyn, Maya, and Joseph.
It was meant to be a difficult challenge. I gave every group a piece of white paper and tape then told them they had 15 minutes to construct a dress.
Members didn’t know about the challenge until it began. We had our sponsor judge the dresses and Adamaris’s group won the competition.
Our next project that we are doing is 99-cent fashion, so the winning group was given an extra dollar to spend at the dollar store for their materials.”
