The Arizona native will be moving to LA to study Digital Media this July.
Anastasia Catherine White was the Fashion Club President at Kingman Academy of Learning High School last year and just got accepted into FIDM. She will be studying Digital Media on Los Angeles campus beginning this July!
Tell us a bit about yourself: I am from Arizona and I was the FIDM Fashion Club President for my senior year last year. I was also a competitive swimmer, violinist for the local orchestra, and I medaled in Academic Decathlon from 2015-2017. I love music and I always try to push myself to the limits in whatever I do.
How has your experience on Fashion Club impacted you in a positive way? As president of Fashion Club I was thrown into an area of expertise I never knew I had. I love putting on productions and putting on my own fashion show was exhilarating, stressful, and most of all enlightening. I feel more confident that I can make larger scale functions and direct a group around to my vision.
In what ways did it guide you to FIDM? I knew I wanted to go to FIDM before I took over the club, but the club made me more determined than ever to do the best I could with my grades, my extracurriculars, and the club itself. I feel more confident that I can tackle whatever school has to offer.
What made FIDM right for you? FIDM was right for me because the Digital Media program is industry based. I will be able to learn how to fund and shoot projects based off of what is needed by the industry at the moment and how to adapt in the future.
Who has been your biggest supporter/influencer in guiding you to FIDM? My biggest supporters are my family, my girlfriend, my friends, and every single one of the members of my Fashion Club. They pushed me to keep reaching for my goals and kept me excited to go to college while my admission was being looked at. I love them all and I thank them for everything.
What are your career goals? I want to be able to be part of the creative process for music videos and movies. I’ve always loved creating clever narratives and to put them on the screen would be an immense dream come true.
