FC Presidents Kathy and Leslie share the news of their successful fashion show fundraiser.
Legacy High School’s 4th Annual Fashion Show, “Substance Within Seams,” took place in the Legacy Theater on May 10th, with the theme of minimalism.
We had six designers create eighteen outfits from scratch for the show. They went to fabric stores to purchase materials and fabric needed in order to construct their garments.
We promoted it through social media, school posters, school video announcements, and word of mouth.
Some of the challenges we faced were getting enough people to run the lighting, sound, and stage.
The part I enjoyed most was crunch time! We had 18 models wearing 18 outfits. Assembling the fashion show and watching it come to life was a moment of satisfaction and great joy.
The money we raised went into our Fashion Club account, and will fund our club and fashion-related field trips next year, including visiting FIDM.
There are endless possibilities for our Fashion Club and what we will do next year. We plan to put on two fashion shows, and hopefully help out our community through service.
