Students created dresses out of paper and painted pumpkins for Halloween!
North Penn High School’s Fashion Club, in the midst of its first full year, had two successful meetings this fall. In September, students were tasked with creating dresses out of paper and tissue for an avant-garde challenge.
“They had to create their own design on a mannequin,” explained FC President Samantha Adams. “Everything was created by club members!”
Then in October, North Penn’s Fashion Club painted pumpkins. “We looked on Pinterest and other websites for popular pumpkin painting ideas for 2018,” Samantha said. “Everyone who attended had so much fun!”
At the end of November, the club has a train trip to nearby Philadelphia planned. They’ll be going to the Reading Terminal, Dilworth Park, and Christmas City to see holiday lights and go ice skating.
“We also have plans to teach all club members how to sew—we will be sewing a sunglasses case for our first project,” she added.
Samantha says being FC President allows her to get involved with various activities and meet new people. “I love getting to set everything up for a meeting,” she said. “I would recommend that anyone who has the chance to get involved in Fashion Club definitely should!”
