These aren’t your garden variety prints!
“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” Miranda Priestley may have had an issue with floral prints, which are ubiquitous this time of year, but this season they got so much love on the runway.
Tons of designers incorporated garden-inspired prints into their Spring 2017 collections, including Michael Kors, Coach, Miu Miu, Hugo Boss, Alexander McQueen, Dries Van Noten, and countless others.

Celebrities, too, are taken with this trend. Selena Gomez was shot in Michael Kors for her first-ever Vogue cover (she also rocks floral prints by Coach, for which she’s the new brand ambassador, and Balenciaga inside the glossy); actress Naomie Harris wore a floral strapless dress from Rosie Assoulin Spring 2017 collection to a movie premiere; Kirsten Dunst and Charlize Theron both showed up to this year’s CinemaCon in floral dresses from Gucci Cruise 2017; and Rihanna hit the red carpet at the 2017 Met Gala in a floral print high-low dress by Commes des Garçons.

Want to try the trend? This is easily one of the simplest fashion trends to pull off this season because floral prints are everywhere and look great on everyone.
Take your pick from dresses and skirts to rompers and jumpsuits, not to mention tops (we’re here for anything off-the-shoulder), jackets, swimwear, shoes, and accessories. You’re no shrinking violet (see what we did there?), so don’t shy away from sporting big, bright, colorful flowers from head to toe, like the models at Chloe and Marques’Almeida.
Another fun way to rock it—mix up the print scales by pairing a smaller floral print with a larger print (just make sure they’re in the same color family), or step outside your comfort zone and swap your casual jeans-and-tee combo for a flirty floral jumpsuit.
