The ’80s favorite has made an official comeback!
It’s officially boot season and we couldn’t be more excited about it! Especially since the boot of the moment is the ‘80s-inspired-but-totally-modern, ultra glamorous, goes-with-everything slouchy boot that we saw on so many Fall/Winter 2017 runways, not to mention countless style stars. The list of designers who showed slouchy boots with their collections includes Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Etro, Bottega Veneta, Ulla Johnson, and of course, Saint Laurent (we’ve all seen those covet-worthy crystal-encrusted slouchy boots by now, no?).

Celebrities, industry insiders, and fashion models are as smitten with slouchy boots as designers are for Fall ‘17. A-listers including Chrissy Teigen, Bella Hadid, Chanel Iman, Lucy Hale, Jessica Alba and so many others are totally on board with the throwback style, and Rihanna has already been photographed in those sparkly Saint Laurent boots everyone (and we mean everyone) has their eyes on.

Want to try the trend? You can easily incorporate slouchy boots into any fall look. Tuck leggings or skinny jeans into slouchy boots, or pair with a hemline-of-the-moment midi skirt or dress. Here’s another brilliant idea: if you’re not ready to part ways with your favorite summer frock, throw on some dark tights and a longline cardigan, and finish the look with a pair of slouchy boots for a totally fall-appropriate outfit. Try an unexpected color, like the teal or red versions we saw at Saint Laurent, or mix it up with a mid-calf style or wedge heel.
