Hear how they got inspired to show off their creativity!
York High School FIDM Fashion Club Co-Presidents Grace Moriarty and Madison McGreal filled us in on their inspired activity!
We came up with the idea to create vision boards by seeing them trending a lot on Instagram, VSCO, and Pinterest. We’ve also seen other clubs create these vision boards and they turned out great and we wanted to create some of our own.
We had members bring in old magazines and we supplied them with scissors, glue sticks, and paper, which made it very simple. The variety of magazines allowed us to make different vision boards for every member and it made it easier so no one was without materials.
Most people chose to cut-out pictures of celebrities sporting street styles or events outfits, store brand names, fun patterns, funky shapes, and quotes. We both love fashion and have really enjoyed planning activities for our club and interacting with members from our own school that share the same passion as us.
This year we are planning on a fundraising project to do in May (either scrunchie fundraiser or clothing drive) as well as bringing a speaker who works within the fashion industry.
