Skin Deep - Makeover Magic
Go for all-out glam with these easy-to-do beauty hints inspired by our fierce Belle Exotique theme!
Make every head turn when you step out in shimmery green shadow and a glossy copper lip. Start by sweeping a sparkle-infused green eyeshadow, such as Nars Shimmer Eyeshadow in Fuji ($22) on your eyelids, blending up to the brow bone and out to just past the outer corners of your eyes. Now use the same color to line your lower lashes all the way to the inner corners of your eyes. Finish off your eyes with liquid eyeliner and a coat of black mascara. Try LORAC Front Of The Line Waterproof Eyeliner in Black ($20) and Cover Girl LashBlast Mascara in Very Black ($8). For lips, use a gold-flecked, copper color, such as Interface Lip Polish in Bronzed Peach ($14).
Show up, show off, and shine on in dazzling shades of glistening metallics! For eyes, use a true gold on your entire eyelid (from the base up to the brow), lower lash line, and inner corners. Then use a copper color to highlight the crease and brow bone. Try Sephora Brand Strass No. 3 ($10), a gold shimmer with gold glitter, and Strass No. 5 ($10), a vibrant copper shimmer. Follow up with a coat of black mascara. Give Pixi Beauty Lash Booster Mascara in Blackest Black ($19) a try. Highlight your cheekbones with a golden tan color, such as Benefit Dallas ($28), then add a neutral gloss, such as Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Honey ($20).
Get dramatic, gorgeous, wildly glamorous hair to go with your Belle Exotique look. Here’s how:
- Lightly spritz hair with a volumizing hair spray, such as Thicker Fuller Hair Weightless Volumizing Hair Spray ($5.50), then use a medium- or large-barreled curling iron to create loose curls.
- Use a fine-tooth comb or round, boar bristle brush to gently tease hair to create maximum volume.
Tightly curl random sections of hair to create definition, and continue to tease hair into a full afro.
Create a center part and smooth hair back. Secure it at the nape of your neck with hair pins, then gently tease the loose strands to create additional volume.
