First, lightly spritz hair with a lightweight holding spray that adds shine and dries quickly. Try Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray ($23).

Brush hair back into a low ponytail, then twist hair around the ponytail holder to create a bun. Secure with hair pins. Spritz as needed to hold hair in place.

Wrap hair around a medium-barreled curling iron to create loose waves, then use your fingers to comb them out.
