Let Fashion Club jumpstart your dreams of becoming a sustainable designer at FIDM’s 3 Days of Fashion! In our new contest, you can win up to $250 for you and your official @FIDM Fashion Club. Create an upcycled fashion design 👗 inspired by items in your household and wardrobe and post your video on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or share it with us on Google Drive or Dropbox. ⁠

In case you missed it!! FIDM Fashion Club members from around the world took part in the Fashion Club Virtual Beauty Workshop 💄 on April 17, 2021. The fun two-hour event gave attendees a chance to meet Jacqueline V. Moore, @FIDM Grad and UOMA Social Media Manager, and participate in a fragrance blending workshop 🌸 with Andre’ Barnwell, FIDM Instructor and Fragrance Designer. ⁠

Happy Birthday Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! Johnson is a half-Samoan actor and wrestler, known for bringing his heritage into the top-grossing films of Hollywood. In Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Johnson led an cast of fellow Polynesian actors, including Cliff Curtis and WWE's Roman Reigns, in siva tau, or a Samoan war dance. It is the first film of its scale to showcase Samoan culture and in this way. Johnson also starred in Moana, where he voiced Maui, the Polynesian demi-god. Today, we celebrate Johnson for putting a message of inclusivity, culture, and positivity out into the world through major studio films with global distribution, and of course his impeccable style. ⁠
