The FIDM Fashion Club at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles recently hosted an outdoor Day of Fashion event featuring a Face Mask Design Competition, Halloween Costume Fashion Show, and Mannequin Style-Off Competition. Club Advisor and celebrity designer Pol’ Atteu, who teaches at the high school, was on hand, along with a film crew from his Amazon Prime reality series Gown and Out in Beverly Hills.

The Day of Fashion event was limited to 30 people so everyone could practice safe social distancing, and attendees received fun gift bags from FIDM. “The students and FIDM Fashion Club members have been working on this since school started six weeks ago,” Pol’ said. “They’ve held weekly meetings on Zoom and individual tasks were assigned to different students to carry out.”

The winner of the design competition will get to spend “a day in the life” of Pol’ at his Beverly Hills boutique, while the fashion show winner gets to shadow costume designer Shon LeBlanc at The Costume House. The styling winner won the opportunity to shadow TV fashion stylist Valerie Pineda at her new showroom Haus Rentals and on the set of the show America’s Next Investment.
