On April 5, 2019, 800 Fashion Club members celebrated under the big top at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California for the biggest party of the year—the FIDM Fashion Club Pre-Party 2019—which was followed by the FIDM DEBUT Runway Show!
This year’s Insta-worthy circus-themed event was filled with authentic props that have been featured in movies such as The Greatest Showman and An Unfortunate Series of Events and on American Horror Story.
Inside the colorful striped tent, guests were treated to a fun photo booth, talented circus performers, carnival games, a magician, live music from DJ Joe Guevara, dancing, gourmet churros, and Milk Bar treats.
More than 40 different high schools from Arizona to Florida repped at the Pre-Party and DEBUT Show, which included a segment that paired top FIDM designers with influencers James Charles, Nikita Dragun, Patrickstarrr, Kandee Johnson, Kian Lawley, Laura Lee, and Drew Scott.
One-hundred percent of the event’s ticket sales were donated to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, a non-profit that supports the wellness of young people and empowers them to create a kinder world.
