How I’m Staying Inspired: Bella Ratcliffe

This FC Pres is looking toward the future.

Bella Ratcliffe, FIDM Fashion Club President at Stevenson High School in Livonia, Michigan shares how she’s staying inspired during the coronavirus pandemic.

How are you personally staying inspired right now? A way I stay connected with myself and get inspired during the difficult times we are all experiencing is by searching for the next step of my future. Oftentimes people fall to their lazy/comfortable side, and don’t get me wrong I have my days, but I never lose sight of what is pushing me to get closer to my goals, whether it be exercise, my brand, or even keeping my room clean.

Are there specific brands or personalities you admire who are showing leadership during this health crisis? There are many celebrities who have been very considerate during this health crisis and donated to health care facilities as well as to essential workers. I also look up to the brand Frankies Bikinis. Not only were they distributing free masks with purchases, but they have also been donating and spreading awareness for the BLM movement which is truly inspiring to me.

Have you held any virtual FIDM Fashion Club meetings? I did hold one virtual meeting through FaceTime with the executive board. We discussed what should be done in regards to carrying on the club for the following years and if there were some activities we could all do together when the stay at home order is lifted!

Do you have any tips for staying connected during this challenging time? For my fellow members who are struggling through tough times like these, just remember that this is temporary and it plays as a growing point in our lives, and sort of serves as an eye opener in many cases for what is going on in the world.
