Kaylee Whisner, FIDM Fashion Club President at Orange County School Of the Arts in Santa Ana, California shares how she’s staying inspired during the coronavirus pandemic.
How are you personally staying inspired? I am currently staying inspired by watching others who are motivated to improve in their field and constantly looking for new ways to be creative. I am also trying new things, such as claymation, to keep my creative juices flowing.
Are there specific brands or personalities you admire who are showing leadership right now? I wouldn’t say that there is any one brand in particular that is sticking out to me besides Ben & Jerry’s, however, I am very impressed with the small and local businesses on Instagram that are donating to the Black Lives Matter movement or to those affected by COVID-19 because despite their size and how much struggle and uncertainty the pandemic has placed on them, they are helping provide for others.
Do you have any tips for staying connected during this challenging time? During this time, I would say a good way to stay connected with fellow members would be to post interactive stories on Instagram. Utilizing polls and asking questions is a great and easy way to engage virtually with members.
