Irvine High School FIDM Fashion Club President Kiley Williams shares how she’s staying inspired during the coronavirus pandemic.
How are you personally staying inspired right now? I am staying inspired by continuing to craft, sketch, and sew on a daily basis while stuck at home. It really helps to see what other people are doing and take inspiration from their ideas and do them in my own way. I have also decided to try new things that I haven’t done before, such as learning embroidery techniques.
Have you held any virtual FIDM Fashion Club meetings? We have had a virtual meeting with our board members on FaceTime. It went pretty well and we used it as a way to connect and discuss things we could do with members and future meeting ideas.
Do you have any tips for staying connected with fellow members during this challenging time? Post on Instagram Stories and encourage members to watch the takeovers we have been doing as well as other schools have done. This helps our members stay creative at home. Another tip is to message and check up on them.
