We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2022 FIDM Fashion Club Gives Back Contest!
We challenged FIDM Fashion Clubs to work together to give to their favorite local community organizations. We asked them to write a mission statement for their Fashion Club, including their philosophy on giving back to the community and how they will carry out their mission. FIDM Fashion Clubs then shared photos of how they were giving back.
The winning entry was selected for outstanding creativity, presentation, originality, and completeness. Discover the winning contest entry and be inspired to give back to your community and help others!
Winner: Ramona Convent Secondary School, Alhambra, CA
The winner is awarded one sewing machine, one $50 VISA gift card, one FIDM swag bag filled with sewing supplies, and one sewing workshop taught by a graduate of FIDM, to benefit their official FIDM Fashion Club.

Mission Statement: Our FIDM Fashion Club stands for sustainable and accessible fashion. Together we use repurposed and upcycled materials for new projects to reduce our textile and plastic waste while making these garments and accessories available to all members of our school community. We wish to help everyone express their personal style while simultaneously staying eco-friendly. We worked together to cut and tie over 50 scarves and donated them to a local homeless shelter; each with a handwritten tag.
