The Team

Get to know the team at Fashion Club’s headquarters in Los Angeles!

danica-thumbPromotions Coordinator: Danica Ybanez

Danica was an FC President at West Ranch High before she attended and graduated from FIDM! She is one crazy crafter on WHATDAYMADE—her portal of fun chaos and endless creativity. Before Fashion Club was lucky enough to add her to the team, Danica worked at Buzzfeed as a miniature animator in the art department. Oh, and she once babysat Kylie and Kendall Jenner locked in a dressing room for a magazine launch party for three hours!

harriet-thumbArt Director: Harriet Grant

Before she became the head of FashionClub.com, Harriet did movie website design at Warner Bros. She loves music and has attempted to play the ukulele, saxophone, piano and bass with varying degrees of success. Her favorite thing to do is take road trips with her husband for she is a master navigator with or without Google Maps. Her dream is to own an Airstream trailer so she can travel to the Death Valley sand dunes with her cats, Cosmo and Ginger.

gigi-thumbEditor: Gigi Hooghkirk

Gigi grew up 14 miles from FIDM’s Los Angeles campus. She was an editor at Teen Magazine before joining the Fashion Club team. She loves all things hand-crafted, and recently made a pair of leather sandals! (Yes, they’re amazing.) She has a sourdough starter going on her kitchen counter, and she once made custom-designed scarves for celebs including Emma Roberts, Zac Efron, and Miley Cyrus.

elizabeth-thumbWeb Developer: Elizabeth Koopman

If there is one thing you need to know about Elizabeth, it’s that the love of her life is a Shih Tzu named Spumoni. Spumoni has only one eye, and it’s always on her mama! Elizabeth used to work as a TV producer in Hollywood, and now she’s FC’s web developing diva. Talk to her anytime about the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, LA Times Festival of Books, and Lhasa Happy Homes. She has a huge heart and is always giving back to her community.
